Positive Action Traineeships

The CEED (Charity) Limited operates Positive Action Traineeships under section 37 of the Race Relations Act (1976), designed to develop individual skills and train adults, from Black and other minority ethnic groups, for entry into technical, medical or professional positions where they are currently under-represented.

To be eligible for the Positive Action Training Programme you must be of black or other minority ethnic origin, i.e. African, Asian, Caribbean, Chinese (section 37 of the Race Relations Act [1976] applies).

The Traineeships are supported with funding from the European Social Fund.

WE PARTICULARLY ENCOURAGE THOSE WHO ARE UNEMPLOYED AND AGED 18-24 TO APPLY

CEEDs Positive Action Programme can last for a period of up to 2 years or more depending on the funding available and consists of:

       

    • On-the-job training with a professional organisation

       

       

    • Day release to pursue an academic qualification

       

       

    • Specialist Training relevant to identified needs

       

       

    • A tax free training allowance
