ONE NATION (NSW DIVISION) MEDIA RELEASE

WATCH OUT FOR THE RUDD REPUBLIC

The announcement by Kevin Rudd that he will push for a republic again if he is made Prime Minister is only one more reason for Australian voters to steer clear of Labor at the next Election.

If they run a republic referendum the same way they run their union elections, we won't have much  hope of  a fair vote.

Turning Australia into a republic would destroy whatever vestige we still have left of our civilised,  liberal, pluralistic, traditional, Christian heritage and make us another polyglot minor Asian republic where every minority, ethnic, religious and cultural pressure group is  vying for power and influence. As to who would be president of this brave new nation,  "Gough only knows who".

In 2004 The United Nations published a Human Development Index, ranking the nations of the world according to the quality of their living conditions, which also includes human rights, human dignity  and civil liberties. The top six nations were Norway, Sweden, Australia, Canada, Holland and Belgium - all constitutional monarchies!

Watch out for  the glib-talking, glossy  politician with no policies and a wicked gleam in his eye who wants to put to you the same  question you have already resoundingly  said "no" to only a few years before.

"I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. What I can do, I should do. And what I should do, by the grace of God, I will do." - Edward Everett Hale
