What a sad state of affairs that we now need anti terrorism laws! A direct result of past governments not listening to the voice of the people. For what reason were inassimilable people brought here other than as Peter Costello said this year "The more people we bring here, the more taxes we collect".

Sure antiterrorist laws are now needed but they need to be ratified by the people so that they are aimed at unwanted immigrants and not at Australians.

The HASCO website is worth looking at.

Anti-Terrorist Legislation

The new anti-terrorist legislation that John Howard tried to sneak through Parliament in secret, available from our website, is very frightening legislation. All the State Premiers had agreed with John Howard to introduce this legislation in each State and not to release it to the public. We are indebted to John Stanhope, the Chief Minister of the ACT. If he had not leaked that legislation, it would have gone through Parliament without anyone being aware of its contents. That legislation attempts to endow the authorities with the power to shoot to kill if they think that it is warranted. There are no parameters to say what activity is warranted and what is not. Couple that with the cards issued to our defence forces which allow them to do the same and it seems that the Australian, disarmed, civilian is subjectively to be the quarry in a turkey shoot.

All through the legislation it states it gets its authority from “the sovereign.” However, ‘the sovereign,’ is never identified. Once in constitutionally legitimate legislation, the fount of authority was identified as ‘Queen Elizabeth II’ - therefore everyone knew where the authority flowed from, and the Governor-General could legitimately append his signature of acceptance based on the principles of the Coronation Oath. But ‘the sovereign’ could be anything or anyone. A duty-bound Governor-General could not append his signature to this legislation, as it is not based on the principles of the Coronation Oath.

The Governor-General has a duty of care to every Australian to protect their rights and freedoms. To sign this document would be a dereliction of duty on his part.

The Government believes that Australians are so afraid that they will willingly give up their rights and freedoms for safety and according to some polls they may have reason to believe that. But an exchange of private terrorism for government terrorism will certainly not produce safety in Australia; perhaps the opposite.

This bill is so similar to Adolf Hitler’s Enabling Act that it is not funny. The Howard government is trying to govern us with fear. Fear of terrorism, fear of pandemics, ’the sky is falling – the sky is falling’ leaps to mind, but every tyrant needs a scapegoat when he is pressed and I think Mr. Howard is being pressed.

Educating our Children

Roger Moran, a prominent Southern Baptist leader from Missouri and Member of the SBC Executive Committee, calls for bold Christian leadership in education:

"One of the great tragedies of American Christianity has been the near universal failure of its leaders to boldly proclaim the inherent dangers lurking within America's government owned and controlled schools. As the educational philosophy of public schools increasingly mirrors the anti-Christian philosophy of our activist judges, the time has come to proclaim with absolute clarity that "render unto Caesar" was never intended to include the hearts and minds of our children."

Pastor Larry Reagan, a leader in Christian education and the editor of the Concerned Tennessee Baptists' newsletter, also puts it bluntly:

"Increasingly, pastors are concluding that the profound decline in standards in the public schools make them unfit places for Christian children. This is becoming a very hot issue among Baptists and other evangelical Christians. As pastors, we need to step up to the challenge by making sure Christian Children receive a Christian education 24/7."

According to Wiley Drake, a well-known Southern California Baptist pastor and broadcaster:

"As Christians, we must rescue our children from public schools. They are being coerced and persecuted there. Frankly, speaking as a pastor who has observed the deterioration of public schools for many years, I would say that Christian parents who are putting their children in public schools today are endangering their children spiritually, emotionally, physically, and educationally. This debate is important because parents need to know how toxic public schools have become."

This may be an American article, but it applies just as much here in Australia.

We will be attempting to offer the Australian public all documents that protect their freedom on our website as free downloads in the hope of bringing the knowledge of how we are governed back to the people who have been starved of such knowledge for so long.

Free downloads from our website include: The Quick and Garran Annotated Constitution of the Commonwealth of Australia, The Proposed Anti-Terrorism Bill, The Transcript of the SBS program Inside Indonesia’s War on Terrorism.

"I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do the something that I can do. What I can do, I should do. And what I should do, by the grace of God, I will do." - Edward Everett Hale
